The Project Cards Were Gradients Pretending to Be Screenshots
I replaced the gradient-and-dot headers with real captures of Pulse, Meshlight, and the rest of the site. The fallback is still there. Most cards don't need it.
The project cards on this site were gradients with a dot grid and an emoji. They looked like a design system. They did not look like the things they linked to.
I captured the real UIs and dropped them in public/projects/: Pulse, Meshlight, weather, news, tools, blog, status, analytics, arcade, plus DualTrigger, MAXOS, Powder Lab, Riftfall, and MaxwellOS. Each card can now carry an image path. If it has one, the header is a screenshot with a light scrim. If it doesn't, the old gradient treatment is still there.
Homepage featured projects and /projects share the same files. The copy on /projects now says "Real screenshots — no gradient placeholders," which is only true because I finally took the screenshots.
A card that links to a live app should show the live app.
